Chicago producer and Noivak Music Group recording artist FreshBoy decided to bring something to fill you up. His first mixtape release Gumbo brings you an all around good time just as good as the food itself.

If you're looking for conscious music, heart felt, with deep aggressive lyrics, than this isn't the mixtape for you. This mixtape is made to get the party crackin'! This mixtape breaks the ice with the hilarious comedy skits from Chicago comedian Lil' Rel and snippets from the movie Friday which are sure to have you saying new slogans like "Turn Yo Goofy Down".

Songs like Goody Goody shows FreshBoy's good ear for sampling as he sample's Frankie Lymon's Goody Goody. Other songs like Damn! featuring Lyric (of BXC) and Mush Millions and Oh Wee give you somewhat of that Travis Porter feel. Other features include Core dj DJ Reese Hot2Def, Willie Taylor (from Day26), , Explicit, Mike D, Teefa (Power92 Chicago Jock), Peter Jericho, John Blu, and Avrey Smith.

I give this mixtape 4 out of 5 strawberries for a good time. This mixtape was funny to listen to but is also universal. I can see guys banging this in the whip and the ladies shaking their ass to it in the clubs. FreshBoy came out the gate with a solid first mixtape. It's worth the download.
