After all that's been going on with Def Jam recording artist  Jhene Aiko, she continues to promote positive energy on her social networks and drop great music for her fans to hear. But her latest single 3:16 AM travels more to the darker side.

"When people see this video they're gonna be like "she sold her soul"...", said Aiko in an interview with the FADER magazine staff.



The song title, which actually represents her birthday (March 16th), does not have any dark significance. Nonetheless, Aiko says it is the time between three and five AM that her mind wonders on the dark side the most.

In an interview with FADER magazine, Jhene gives a little more detail about why she wrote the song and her fascination with the darker side.

Her anticipated album Souled Out has not set released date as of yet, but is expected to debut later this year.
