WhatImJamminOnTheiPod: The Otherside

Chicago unsigned artist from the South side, Rockie Fresh has the streets buzzing with the new mixtape The Otherside. With over 1,700 on datpiff.com, Rockie Fresh teams up with the 2DopeBoyz,  DJ ill Will, and DJ Rockstar with song samples featuring Naledge, Rich Hil, Mr. Hudson and includes all original production by The Cartoonz.

The production of this mixtape is quality. It sounds like an album and not just a mixtape with samples and covers. Rockie Fresh's flow goes smooth and his lyrics has a silent power to it. I would say he has the vibe of J Cole, Big Sean, and Drake, yet he stands on his on two feet in ideals.

Songs like What's The Hurry with the Imogen Heap sample and The Worth shows off his keen ear for good music and he flows like the best. Other songs like Living, So Gone and Too Far tell a story all its own that any young person trying to make it can relate to; whether your from Chicago or Detroit.

I give this mixtape 5 out of 5 strawberries for dopeness, originality, creativity, and just being an overall classic. I can jam to this on my iPod anytime. Rockie Fresh goes down as the best of the best in my list of artist; especially Chicago.
