Strawberry Tease: Trey Songz

Trey Songz wasted no time in making a new album for his fans. Only a year apart from his third album READY, Trey takes the momentum of the last album and let it explode into a mixture of more passion, more pleasure, and a little pain.

Overall, the album is nice; you have your club tracks, your baby-makers, and those heartbreak tracks that just make you reminisce on good times with an ex-love.

Nonetheless, I feel like the album was a little rushed. The songs all tell a story but it didn't flow as smoothly as Ready. Some songs should have been rearranged to make the album a beginning to end play.

For example, the first track Here We Go Again seemed pointless to the way the album was going. Maybe it should have been rewritten or the music should have been arranged differently. The Pain, Pleasure, Passion interludes were perfect transitions to setting up the story and keeping the album smooth.

At first listen, I gave this 3 1/2 out of 5 strawberries due to how the songs were arranged. But after a few more listens I give this album 4 out 5 strawberries for good songs to add to the iPod, sensual, fun listen, but not quite a classic like READY was.
*(Plus one of my favorite lines is "Cause you soft like tissue" in the song Alone lol. Just saying. I'm Sharmon, what did you expect?)*
