Julito McCullum aka J Brice may look a little familiar right? Well the former actor best known for his role as Namond Brice on the HBO series The Wire, or maybe Terrance the brother of Akeelah in Akeelah an the Bee alongside KeKe Palmer or maybe you remember him from his role in the six part miniseries shown on The N in 2005  Miracle's Boys alongside another familiar face, Pooch Hall from BET series The Game.

Well now he's out with a different approach: music. I must say, his tape is actually decent. Sometimes when you're used to seeing someone in a certain form such as an actor, when they switch roles its hard to adjust. With guest features such as Trey Songz, Donnie Klang [Making the Band 4], Drake and more, J Brice's music is smooth enough for the ladies to vibe to but still has enough swag for the guys to rock with it too.  I really like the Joe sample he used in the track All The Things too, nice spin he put on it.

This tape was really hard to rate because it's still fresh in my ears but overall I'll give it a 4 out of 5 strawberries. Its a hot listen, easy to vibe to, I didn't skip any song and there's no complaints really. But I can say it was definitely made for the ladies, so I'd like to see him spit more lyrically.
