Strawberry Spotlight: Mr. Magnificent
Multitalented Dancer, Producer, Rapper, Singer, Writer and overall Performer, Chicago artist Mr. Magnificent deserves his title.
After listening to rap and hip hop throughout his childhood, Mr. Mag stepped in behind the scenes when he was about 14 with music production. He knew that he had more to say than most of the artists he was hearing. While he didn't start making his presence known with his words, it quickly became evident that when it came to rap, Mr. Mag had much more to offer. Mr. Mag's talent for poetry was molded into what can only be called an unprecedented blend of New School Swag and Old School Storytelling.
He combines New York-style lyricism with a down south bounce, and the marriage of the two wins over listeners of every age, race and gender. Mr. Mag embodies the term "wise beyond his years" as he actually has something to say in his music, setting himself apart from so many other artists today. Mr. Mag's talent, drive and readiness to absorb and improve upon musical ideas makes him the perfect candidate for bringing rap to the next level in the music world.
