Paying Homage to Hip Hop Lyrics

Tonight we welcome Shadow Master MC and Anyialation, the two host for one of Chicago's hottest cyphers, 606: Hip Hop Open Mic hosted at Subterranean every Tuesday night.

606: Hip Hop Open Mic is an open mic event happening every Tuesday night at the Subterranean, 2011 W. North Ave. City Locals, known and unknown, come from all over the city to grace the mic with their skills as well as to have a good time.  

The hosts, Shadow Master Mc and Anyialation start every show with a freestyle of their own and then began to call all MCs to the stage.  As members of the audience began to make their way to the stage, the cypher begins.  

Bring two of th biggest elements of hip hop together (rhyming and djing) DJ Norm Rockwell and/or DJ Boy Wonder spin instrumentals from some hip hop classics and the rapping starts.  Some new faces come forth and then some regulars but the one great thing about the open mic is that it really is open to every MC willing to give their shot at a rhyme off the top of their head. 

Open Mic is a 21+ event.
