Strawberry Spotlight: Real T@lk (ThePoet)

From the westside of Chicago, the poet turned emcee Real T@lk first came to your attention with his debut project, The Mo’ Better Mixtape. His blend of introspective bars and rapid-fire rhymes earned him a spot on The Source’s Unsigned Hype in 2009. Since then he’s kept it grinding, releasing his sophomore effort and concept album, The Sitcom LP, a few years back.

He’s currently working on his next big project, The Talented Tenth 8.0, in which the release date has not been given. Nontheless, he hasn't left his fans hungry. Has recently released Fresh Produce, a sampling project, that pays homage to the legendary production stylings of Organized Noize, Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Kanye West, and The Neptunes; as well as hot new jacks like Authentik Made, Illangelo, The Weeknd, and 40. And just to keep it well rounded, he even shows love to the late, great Marvin Gaye and The Meters.
