The new duo to Ludacris's Disturbing Tha Peace label has finally dropped the music the fans have been waiting for. The 10 track @BXCMUSIC The Mixtape is a great buzz record and overall great marketing for the group that's been waiting years for the spot to shine.
Representing the South side of Chicago, Commando and Lyriq represent the lyrically intense, powerful, and comedic dynamic of the duo that forms B.X.C.
Anyone who witnesses the duo’s electrifying, high powered music and performances will realize that Commando and Lyriq have a rare compassion, motivation, and desire for extreme success. B.X.C seeks to push the envelope of their generation by expressing a unique style to music that touches the hearts of many while at the same time expanding their horizons to make an impact on society and create a union between music and life.
When you hear the music you will know why Ludacris chose this group. They are a perfect fit to the DTP movement and they work hard like they're already vets in the game. Their sound is a blend of raspy, yet powerful from Commando, with the melodic vocals of Lyriq yet tongue twisting flow that can be compared to another follow Chicagoan; Twista.
In B.X.C’s short time on the music scene they’ve already worked with artist such as Ludacris, T-Pain, Bobby Valentino, DJ Infamous, Twista, and Shawnna just to name a few. But now it's time for this group to shine on its own.
I give this mixtape 5 out of 5 strawberries for unique sound, listener friendly for male and female fans, and just overall great listen! This didn't feel like a mixtape with a bunch of covers or a bunch of features. It felt like an ALBUM and it really defined B.X.C as artist. It truly represents them and they aren't being overshadowed by the big label name. They represented well.
